On May 15, 1989, Bond University was established on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Bond offers three-semesters-per-year instead of the usual two, so that graduates have the opportunity to finish their studies sooner. Combine this advantage with Bond’s commitment to opening doors to blue chip employers and it becomes clear that students graduate with a clear competitive advantage over their public university peers. With access to academic and technological resources, students thrive in smaller study groups. With a 5 Star rating for Electronic Support, students can always access computer facilities. There are 13 teaching labs with around 25 computers per room, so students always have access to computer facilities. A number of computer labs are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bond has adapted to the needs of the workplace, liaising with key employers in all fields to develop programs that reflect the current technological, theoretical and psychological practicalities of the corporate environment. In all Faculties, students are given the opportunity to graduate with relevant experience and a broad-ranging perspective gained from structured internships, clinical placements, research exchange scholarships and work experience programs.
